Daniel has been in charge of the EU Energy Initiative Partnership Dialogue Facility (EUEI PDF) as programme manager since January 2016. Before joining the EUEI PDF, he managed the Nigerian Energy Support Programme (2013–2015) and the South African-German Energy Programme (2010–2013), both implemented by GIZ. He started his career within GIZ by joining a wind energy programme at the GIZ Head Office in Germany as an energy expert in 2008. Furthermore, he has working experience with the United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) in Chile and the European Commission. Daniel holds a diplom (equivalent to a Master's degree) in Political Science from the University of Berlin.
